Self Promotion.

Self promotion. Don’t we all do this? A vast amount of social media posts seem to scream look at me, but when you’re running your own business, it’s essential. Business posts though are different from what you did on the weekend, but depending on the size of your business, you may want to keep the same personal tone. This is my take on things from the freelancer viewpoint, posts that hopefully have some relevant purpose and content, but delivered with a friendliness that tells the reader a little more about me. My weekly posts started partly due to the nag of having a Facebook group page that I’d set up long ago and wasn’t using, it seemed like a wasted opportunity and from there it’s spread throughout my other channels. Granted some posts have more interest than others, but the point is to post, to connect with your audience, to keep yourself in the minds of the people who will book you for your next job. So as long as I’ve things to talk about, I’ll continue to post, but more importantly, if I don’t, fear not, I won’t bore you with my weekend habits and hobbies 😉
